I would have bought a DR in 7*65r for the purposes you mentioned. More than enough gun for European wild bore, moose and everything else you will find in Europe. And combined with the 500 NE in Africa, the 7*65r would be perfect on plains game when the distances creep out a bit. If I wanted a bit more punch maybe the 30R blaser, but 7,65R gets my vote.
