I considered the 500/416 when I got my Searcy PH model, as it recoiled less..but decided I would rather load the .470 down and have the reserve power if I needed it, so I went with the .470....

I figure the 500 gr. bullet in a .470 at 2020 FPS is as good as anything the 500/416s got and if I need more then I can push the 500 gr. bullet to a chronographed 2245 FPS..The 2020 FPS performed to perfectin on about 6 o 7 Buffalo I shot this year....and the recoil is considerable less, I mean a bunch less...
