Re: 3006 or 45/70

Well went to the range this morring must say was somwhat disapointed with the new rifle. I had 40 rounds of hornday 325's they didn't do well about 3 or 4 inches at 50 yards. left barrel is about a foot high but on for left and right right barrel is about 8 inches lower then the left but to the left 10 inches or so. I moved the jack screw what I though was a lot and didn't seam to make much differnce in the hits I am going to say that this rifle will want to shoot something else. I got the Hornady 325 leverevolution because that is all I could find that they didn't want 45 of more dollars for went to 3 plases and that was all I could find. I did get a set of reloading dies so will be able to lode what I want. Also this is one of only 2 rifles that I have owned that are painful to shoot very much the first was a T.C. 58 ca. big bore and the other was a ruger number 1 in 375H/H that had a too short stock for me. I will have to get a pass pad to do much bunch shooting with this gun it is very light their were 3 or 4 others at the range and only one would shoot the rifle as they had all watched me and though that it kicked to hard the one that did shoot it though it kicked to hard and wouldn't shoot it agean. Well I will have to lode or buy some more and see if I can't get it to shoot.
