Congratulations on the DR, Mauser. I'm seeing H4895 producing 2,012 with 405gr. Lead at 28,300CUP/PSI and 1,809fps with 60.0gr. H4895 at 28,500CUP/psi. We know from experience the pressures can rise quite quickly in the shorter cases, but you have length and capacity going for you. I don't think the 3 1/4" Sharps case has as much capacity as the .450 Nitro case, though. When iterpolating charges from Nitro data, perhaps one must be careful due to the Sharp's case's lower capacity. Perhaps a slower powder is in order, such as 4350 or 4831. |
