Most "Firearms Indentifiers" in this country wouldn't have a clue as to value.

Try SSAA insurance for insuring OS.

I don't insure my guns when travelling within Australia and have never had a problem
and as you know, I probably fly with guns (doubles) more than most people.

(I must admit I pay a bit more and fly Qantas as they seem to have a better system for
guns and ammo + they never loose sight of the gun once it goes into secured baggage
+ it is a small price to pay for peace of mind.)
