Clark We usually schedule our Camp Cooley hunt in the Texas off season, when it is still kind of cool. The ranch is located just off I45 west of Buffalo near Ridge TX. Just about halfway down I45 between Dallas and Huntsville. I think their hunting web site is www.huntcampcooley.com We members of the DRSS hunt everything on foot. The guides stay with you when your hunting exotics. When we hunt pigs we go out on our own most of the time. If Ryan wants to come with us he can he is a fun guy to be around. There is a very nice bunkhouse with a large kitchen. They take good care of your meat, and they have a walk in cooler. Eland meat is very good, and they are fun to hunt, especially with iron sighted double rifles. We usually hunt for about 3 days. There is also a spot to go and shoot so we can check out each others double rifles. I think the last time we were there there was 10 or 12 double rifles present. It is worth the trip just to have a visit. |
