True the design is not really that complicated but many of the points made about it particularly as a DG rifle are very valid. As for the Hoenig, I have held and operated one and was left very cold to the design. May be strong and an interesting design but also not what I would choose as a DG rifle. I may be wrong, but iirc, you have to actively hold the action closed while shouldering it by holding rotation of the forend and barrels tight. Again, interesting, but not the ideal either functionally or aesthetically for a double rifle IMO.
