Dugaboy:

What is involved with installing a recoil pad on the Merkel? The rifle fits me well, and I may be mistaken, but isn't cutting the stock involved to install a Pachmeyr pad? I may be seriously mistaken, but for some reason that pops into my head....

If it does (cutting the stock) is there anyone you recommend? I'm from Fairfax County, Virginia (just outside Wash. DC). Griffin and Howe in Jersey would be my first choice since it it only about a four hour drive (and an how from my father's place.)
