It's not uncommon for any person, American or not -- to completely lose interest in another person or an object, simply because they find them ugly.
That's human nature, it's powerful, and it transcends nationality.

In the perspective of my mind's eye (deep understanding of the engineering or not) the Blaser break-open guns and rifles will never amount to a wart on the buttstock of mid-19th century pinfire rifles.
