Granhaven, Thank you for your post. Do post about the other Polish gunmakers than Szymkowiak as well when you find time. Quality could vary between countries and even between gunmakers in individual countries. That, of course, does not detract from the fact that the more the number of successful gunmakers, the better it is for our sport. The use of German barrels is also fine - it shows that the Polish trade is choosing good quality. Personally, I keep telling myself (though this is an apples to oranges argument) that there has to be some gunmaking talent in Poland - after all, the Brevex Mauser actions which are still extremely desirable were designed and made by a Polish immigrant to France - M Polonsky.
