They say a true 1x is really hard to get and that is why most scopes are 1.1 and 1.5x at their lowest setting.
I have one 30mm tube scope Khales 1.1-4)and while it is beautiful to look through it is very heavy and does change the point of balance on my 404j.

I too like the German 4. I have four scopes with this reticle.
