For years I've always wanted to own a double rifle but can only dream of a British classic double ever sitting in the safe.
However Pedersoli's Kodiak rifle is in my price bracket - the question is 9.3x74R or the 45/70? The intended use of the rifle is for wild cattle here in NZ and funds permitting a trip to Australia for a Buffalo.
I've had good experience with the 9.3's after having owned a 98 mauser in 9.3x62 but was thinking that a properly loaded 45/70 with premium bullets may be a better bet should my dream of Buff hunting ever eventuate.
What calibre should I choose?
