A long eye reliel pistol scope mounted further ahead may work but finding a home for the front base may be a challenge if it misses the quarter rib. A tall front ring may adress the height issue. When you think of it a scout type mount for a double makes sense there's just no one doing it. Might take a while to get used to the "look" but it sure would be quick handling.
