Hi guys, I used to post on here but have not been around since july of 07.Long story- got transfered to work 283 miles from home and after a while went on sick leave for surgery.That did not go well and ended up on disability.That was 3 years ago and am finally able to stand on my own hind legs for short periods of time.
I have vision problems now as well and can't see the front sights on my double rifle any more.
Working on a mount for it to set up a scope.The rifle is a Pedersoli SXS 45-70 hammer rifle and the hammer access around the scope is a barrier that I haven't fully solved yet.As for the rifle it is a real shooter and worth the trouble to adapt a scope to it.
On the good side of things I can get around my shop now and have built up 4 bolt rifles, 6 lever rifles and 4 single shots. Disability retirement is not all bad.
If anyone has sugestions for mounting a scope on a hammer rifle I would like to hear about it.
