bpbb You seem to be an expert on the .700. You didn't answer the quetion though as to have you ever shot one. Have you? I have shot one twice, Bill Feldstiens, the first one ever built, at SCI a few years ago. He was letting some people shoot it for the cost of the ammo, US$100/per. I have 3 different .577s and have shot and hunted with the 3" 750 grn. at 10.5 lbs quite a bit. I have an 8 Bore SxS and I have also shot a friends 11 lb. .600 about 20 times and his .585 Nyati about a dozen. The .700 has more recoil than any of them. It is, IMHO, a hell of a lot more than a 'heavy push'. As to the guy who got 9 feet of penitration on a frontal brain shot how did that work? I don't doubt that the .700 would do it, I would just like to hear the circumstances. Was he sitting on a ladder or is he 9 feet tall? ![]() |
