Re: Docter Optic red dot sight on a double

I spoke to the Trijicon boys at SCI Oz earlier in the year, and they are keen for me to try one of theirs on a double rifle.

I think Docter makes one which is similar in function. I

Trijicon Aust believes they are an answer for people with lesser eyesight especially as people age.

They certainly aren't traditional, but if they work, why not? I want to have mine as QD though. And will probably see if it can be fitted to my less than traditional U/O Tikka/Valmet double rifle. If it works OK, I may use mine on the combination barrels I have in 12g/7x65R as well, as the red dot sight should function OK - subject to testing - with the shotgun as well using shot.

I can use open express sights well, but may need glasses soon for somethings, probably due to too much damned computers!
