If you have to ask this question, you're not likely to be able to understand the answer. HANDLING!!!! Americans seem to get hung up on balance, ie half the weight either side of the midpoint, whereas the weight DISTRIBUTION is the critical factor, ie half the weight (or more) in the centre third of the rifle, the remaining half divided equally between the muzzles and the butt. This means NO mercury reducers in the butt, NO heavy barrel-wall thickness at the muzzles, and NO slim 20-bore shotgun-type actions. No law suits please, just my opinion based on observation.... |
