I have used several different types of cases in the last 20 years traveling to Africa with my "doubles" , the last few years I have been using a couple of "Americases" . I have one that will hold 2 doubles with scopes and another that carries 2 scoped rifles. These are very tough !!!!! I will take both of them to Zim in a few weeks. Not only will they pass the "drop test" you can drive a Land Rover over them !!!! I love the "oak and leather" cases , but keep them in the gun room and take the "Americase" when you travel.
