It's strange that this should come up now. I went to a custom case maker yesterday and have him making me a lightweight aluminum shell, lockable of course, inside of which my canvas and leather double rifle cases will just fit. I'm off to the Kalahari in September for a plains-game hunt, want to take my .303 double in its fitted case, but wouldn't trust it unprotected to the baggage-handling gorillas!!
