I got a Chapuis Ugex 9,3x74R and have been thinking about getting a new stock, as I would like a little more lenght of pull without needing to fit a very thick recoil pad. Further I would like to have a stock with a cheekpiece, as mine dont. The other measurements of my current stock is allright though... Would you guys recomend buying one form Chapuis or just get a custom stock made from scratch by a competent gunsmith? If ordering from Chapuis I recon I would need a gunsmith to fit it anyway, as sending them my rifle probably would cost more than the rifle is worth:-) What do you think would be the cost if I decided to order from Chapuis? Anyone done that before? As for the forend I actually like it very much, but it would perhaps be difficult to find a buttstock that looks alike... |
