Hi Carpediem, That's a Bummer, a lot have mount bases installed. With the Sabatti, they have drilled and tapped holes in the rib with "Grub" screws installed and then you are supposed to install another bit that goes over the rib and fastens using these "Grub" screws. Then you are have a 3/8" dovetail ?? shit, that's good on a .22 rimfire but not on a .450 N.E. 3.25" so I purchased the necessary bases (and rings) then got Alex Beer to machine out the the rib to take the bases and now all is well. I found out that Sabatti had not until they made mine, made that larger caliber rifle so the Aussie Agent was told what I had done and passed it onto Sabatti, changes to followearli. Anyway, good luck but as I said earlier, you can get different "Blades" for the front sight, mine should be here on Monday. Cheers, Jeff Gray . |
