Congratulations on your new Baikal double. I bought one last year and started messing with different loads. I shoot a lot of 45-70 with lead cast bullets and am looking forward to working up a load for my double. I ran 25 rounds of copper jacketed bullets through each barrel to break it in and then started working with a 415 grain flat point round nose lead cast bullet. When I pulled the triggers on those first lead bullets, I was like a kid at christmas in the toy train store with a no-limit credit card. It's an inexpensive, pedestrian gun but, it's a hoot and I am not worried about banging it up in the woods when I go hunting, or shooting targets, or rogue charging gophers. Enjoy.
