Easy

Get someone who knows WTF they are looking at to get on a plane and go and look at it. A couple of hundred $$$ for the flight at most (unless it's in Perth or way out yonder !!!)

Or get it sent to a dealer to be looked at.

but with the number of people we have on NE or who we know, I reckon I could name at least 2 in each major city in Australia.

Re used guns, you'd be better off in the US, prices higher here. But will keep an eye out for you.
