Been away working sorry ! Ok , I havn't bought it yet , has not been for sale since 2003 or more , the one on that auction was a 577LN Cape Gun on a Empire shot gun , with a nice restock . This is (Im 90% sure but have not heard back from the builder yet) built on a shotgun action & was reproofed in London as a rifle , with "Sleeved" stamped on the barrel flats , a amazing job was done on this shotgun/rifle . It is , as I said a bother of Marrakai's "Fat Lady" made by the same people who make a few of them . Meant to handle well , with the weight in the right places . If the action is proofed to 41,611psi with a 650Gr , that must be close to full Nitro levels , mustn't it ? My thoughts are what to do on buying it , spend my savings on this , which looks very nice , but it won't appreciate like a real Vintage Double Rifle would , but can be shot with real mondern hard bullets (I think) I dont like the Greener safety & as Generalwar saids , weak in the stock & not a reinforced action ? So keep looking for the right one , or take a punt ? Cartrigde looks like this , for Nitro , Light Nitro/Nitro for Black & BPE= Black Powder Express Except NFB & BPE , more than likely would have Lead or paper patched slug . |
