450NE2 I have more or less decided on a Chapuis 9,3 with a Zeiss 1,5-6x42 as my first double. I have noticed that the rear iron sight is preventing a REAL low mount of this scope. I would like to order the rifle regulated with the scope, and only use the iron sights as back-up. (this is not to be used as a DG gun) I dont't like the factory installed rear sight. I have got this mad idea of ordering it without the rear iron sight, and get one folding express sight installed after delivery. Such a sight must be possible to fix in the upright position. I have seen something similar on old drillings, but not on double rifles. Do you consider this feasible, and would it affect the regulation? PS: I hope Ray doesn't see this. |
