Re: Nice pre-war double in 6.5x57R..

Picked up the dr here after christmas..great little gun. I had a box of RWS shells with me when i went to collect it. The gunmakers have a 50 & 100 indoor-range. The new RWS 6.5x57R did not fit into the chambers at all, and the gunmaker caught a major headache...hahaha..We realized that the rifle was a 7x57R, and luckly we found a full box of new RWS cartridges with 177grain TUG bullets. I fired the dr at 50 meters and both barrels regulated just perfect within 2", which is fine for the forrest. The gun is a Schmidt & Habermann and itis only 97cm long. It weighs 3.2kg with scope.
The barrels are 59cm. I have the old steelscope that were originally fitted to the gun, but the Leo VX3 does fine too.
