Iff you are flying Quantas ,you are required to get intouch with Laurie Willoughby ,manager,Dangerous Goods Compliance.
You are required to carry the ammo separate to the firearm and I believe the maximum is 5 KGs of ammo.
Any safe storage container is suitable.
My wife usually only carries around one KG when she goes to world cups.
