Ok guys, I'm going to treat my little 400-350 double to a new scope. At present it wears a 2 1/2 power Leupold which works very well but as the rifle is such a good shooter I would like to increase the magnafornication a tad. ![]() I don't want to increase the weight or overall size by any great amount so I'm thinking Leupold 2-7 compact, Leupold 1-4, Leupold 1 1/2 - 5 or Leupold 1 3/4 - 6. Thumb clearance tube length and eye relief are ok with all these and this rifle does not change much, regulation wise, with scope changes as I did use it for a while with a 2 1/2 -8. My choice at this stage is between the 1-4 and the 2-7 compact as I've had a fair amount of shooting with both types and like them both. Is it worth spending the extra bucks for the 1 1/2 to 5 or 1 3/4 to 6? What would be your choice and why? This rifle is set up for use on Aussie game from pigs through to Buffalo and scrub bull. |
