I'm very fortunate to own hundreds of double rifles many in rimless, never have I experienced an ejection problem. I agree that a flanged is a no brainer for most if not all double enthusiasts, however, I never shy away from a fine double just because its rimless. I would use any of mine on dangerous game without hesitation.
