I still don't have it as we need to obtain a permit to acquire and that can take several weeks for the cops to send out.

I'm more excited about a Mannlicher (ex-mil but sporterised) I acquired than the agricultural Baikal ....

Got to organise suitable ammo or reloading dies, cases etc for the .45/70 too before I can do anything with it when it arrives. Don't know if anyone stocks suitable .45/70 ammo in SA yet.

As for re-chambering these things, I'm not interested in that at all.
