Out of the too you list, I would strongly prefer the Krieghoff. A Blaser double rifle would take a bit of selling for me to consider one, however never say never. I would also consider the Merkel and Chapuis as well. Yep look at Sabatti as well. Other makers of a higher standard worth looking at include Heym and Verney-Carron, whom have just joined NE. Have a good look at them all if you can, as 'mouse' says for fit and feel as well. The Blaser IMO is definitely the odd one out of all the above. As for the R93 being similar to the Blaser or Krieghoff, the feel of a bolt action and side by side double is quite different so for me, this would not be an issue. Practice, practice, practice, for the new double rifle is how one becomes familiar with it. |
