The Blaser makes you "recock" the gun every time you open it, that alone does not make it suitable for a dangerous game gun. In addition the Blazer is as ugly as a mud fence (what is with that hose clamp arrangement around the muzzle for regulation) with the handling characteristics of a wet 4x4. As mentioned above the Krieghoff does not require you to recock after opening. Although I still feel it requires too much effort to cock it the first time for a true dangerous game gun. Neither the Blaser or Krieghoff offer ejectors. Both the Chapuis and Merkel have a traditional safety and are available with ejectors. Since it looks like you are in Dallas, you should think about going to the DSC convention in Jan where you can look at any number of doubles in one place. Also remember, buy what suits you, its your money. |
