Don't get caught up with paper balistics.
The 458 at 2100 and 8 pounds is a pussy compared to a 470 at 2100 at anything under 10 pounds!
The 458 uses a puny 70 grains or so of medium powder and the 470 is often loaded with 105 grains or so of slow powder.
The result is a big difference in felt recoil despite the fact that the external balistics are similar.
