the .450 is attractive to me for different reasons than reloading and different bullets.

It's just a little different than having the (seemingly) very popular .470. Probably less recoil than a .500 and built on a slimmer action. And I'm sure it's all I would ever need.

Yet, in my uneducated and ignorant mind, it's still a "big" bore.

The slimmer action, differentness, (possibly) less recoil, and nostalgia of the round that began the NE craze (if my reading is correct) are really why I like the cartridge.
