I went through a rough patch recently so I can appreciate.

I own two Blaser rifles (an R93 and a LRS-2) and am considering a K95...but no way would I get an S2. The hood over the chambers, the way the cocking system works (it's far better on the bolt guns), the problems that have been reported, and the idea that it's set up for ammo that's not available here killed it for me. There are some folks that seem to like them (just go to Blaserpro.com) but nothing about them inspired me to consider one. If you want a combi-cocker, I'd get the Krieghoff. Otherwise I'd go Merkel, VC or Heym, depending on your taste and wallet. I've been speaking with Merkel (about a drilling) and they seem decent to deal with.
