I have got a little more info. The barrels are stamped as Nitro proofed, and the stamp is presumably one that was used from 1904. It also read 55/400, which are the load 55 grain cordite and 400 grain bullet. The adress on the rifle is similar to the adress Jeffery have on their shop after 1911. The bore seems to be in good condition, however it looks a little like it is made for blackpowder and lead bullets, since the grooves are kind of "rounded" on top. |
