I just received a set but they look like they mount directly to the rib. Many pix seem like they're mounting to some sort of "disc" like a claw mount.

Does anyone have any pix of how this is mounted and how it "pivots"? This is my first double so I'm a bit ignorant and want to make sure I know what I'm doing. Thanks in advance.
