Graeme Wrights book "Shooting the british double rifle", edition 2, page 107 has a picture of a standing rest used by H&H. This rest allows the shooter to stand upright "inside" a bench formed like a semi-circle, with the rifle in a normal shooting position. He leans his elbows on the heavily padded bench, and his left underarm on a somewhat higher pad on the front of the bench. |
