GG has explained how to release the scope and take it off... The thing is, you have to be "very" precise on how you hold the scope to get it started and while swinging it. With the claw, even if your in a hurry, you don't have the AWKWARD "down, swing, and then turning a wheel to lock" it on. With the claw, you just push the front foot in, and continue to push the scope down, all in one motion, until it locks...much faster and a much more natural movement. ![]() ![]() ![]() If your just trying to get a scope on your double, i don't think it much matters, but i many times i carry my scope in my pocket or pack, and snap it on only for long shots. The claw mount works so much easier, with much more natural movements, especially if your hands and fingers are cold...it's a no brainer. DM |
