Love to Bob - the year after my wife retires, we're taking off to travel around North America. Got lots of people to visit - several indeed, in Alaska. The 14 bore will travel with me - just for Rendezvous and play.

That .57 Snider would make an interesting Black Bear round.

It would indeed be fun to poke one with it. 70gr. is a good charge for a handgun of that size.

I shoot 55gr. 3f in my .54 flint pistol with 220gr. RB and it about duplicates my .44 4" Smith, but had less felt recoil due to stock shape. It cracks pretty good. I can imagine how that Howdah belts and rolls.
