I have my Merkel .470 that was regulated with the 500 gr Woodleigh bullets. I see now that Federal has discontinued those and put out the Barnes, and I beleive Bearclaw and Swift instead.

Has anyone tried (or heard from Federal) how any of these new factory loads regulate / compare with the old "standard".?

Sure I reload, but I always bring the factory loads when I hunt.

I would be upset if they are vastly different.

I do find it interesting that Barnes is now a factory load for doubles given the constant discussion about damage from monometal bullets.
