Matt I am very impressed with the V-C guns. Major problem for me was getting over the French thing. I own a V-C .577 and have ordered a bespoke .500 which is due in April. I have found the V-C's to kick less than the other Continental makes I have owned. The V-C guns have been cleaning up at the Vintagers competition the last two years. In choosing between the .470 and .450, I would pick the .450. Just my opinion. Back to the bespoke option, if you can hold tight and wait a few months you can get a gun built to your dimensions with your chosen options. I ordered my .500 to weigh 11 1/2# to 12# with rounded action and 26" bbls. and a bunch more custom touches. Ken Bush at KEBCO is the U.S. importer and an all around good guy. Hope this helps. Don |
