The facet of this kind of thing that I find most puzzling is the 'tavern society' guys with patriot bravado who will (simply because Clark is an 'Mercan) cling to unqualified praise of whatever he'll offer and slight guys like Curl as pussy-ass pinky-flying collectoristis (especially for suggesting something pronounced like 'Sha-pwooese') without ever getting their eyes and hands on a similarly priced brand new (actual) double rifle.

If I recall, the first gasps of this Clark campaign trumpeted rifles chambered in .405 (y'know for more of that genuine 'Mercan-ness)...

I can't for 'the life of me' figure out why someone would even consider such a thing when there are cool old antiques like THIS 3-Barrel Set incl 43Spanish DR floating around out there.
