Well, my advice would be to buy a plan ticket or get in a car and spend the money on fuel and go and do it in person.

It would be money well spent IMHO.

I really wouldn't buy one without handling them.

If I buy anything over a couple of thousand $$$, I spend the money to go and see it in person.

Yes, it is a PITA but a small price to pay considering if you bought one and it wasn't right and the $$$ you would lose in selling it.
