Re: .375 H&H with 350 Gr Bullets

Mickey 1,
I perceived the question as referring to the 375 H&H as stated by the poster, which was correct it turns out, with a second incorporated question by said poster as to the double rifle to wit the word "also" and to wit I had no knowledge thereof... therefore if you cannot answer the question then one must dazzle them with BS on such forums!

Adam,
No it is not a compacted load, it is a full load to the base of the bullet with a small amount of tuck...I had to work that one up myself as no loading data was available, so I confleberated the condensed knowledge of all reloading manuals and came to a starting point and proceeding from there...Worked out to my satisfaction with RL-15. I will probably do some more loading work on the 350 gr. bullets at some point, but I will use this load in Africa once again this year..

I used these loads last year for Geoff McDonald of Woodleigh who furnished me with PP and RN bullets in 375 350 gr. and 416 450 gr. to test for him...

He and I communicated for a year prior to the manufacturer of these bullets upon my suggestion that we needed a heavier source of bullets for both calibers...I insisted on the RN and Geoff was sure the PP was the best route, both worked well indeed, but I believe that Geoff was correct, the PP is the better bullet of the two IMO now that I have used both..

The PP has more penitration....but the RN may, in fact, be a better herd shooting bullet as it tends to expand to great size and stop on the off side skin of Buff...I seldom hunt in herds if I can get out of it so my choice of the PP these days.
