The main Armouries museum is free to enter but sadly the NFC (pattern room collection) has limited access to military, police and historians only and by pre arranged visit. Security is very tight given the vast and open nature of the collection. The rifles are lined up in racks and amount to thousands of weapons in total.

If you do a google search for Royal Armouries museum Leeds you should score a hit on the museum which is part of a number across the UK, once upon a time many of the exhibits were kept in the Tower of London, there is even 14 - 15th Century armoour from across Europe on show.
