Thanks Huvius, I should have mentioned that my new hobby is vintage video cameras. Before the CCD (charged coupled device) imaging sensor, which is common today, video cameras had image pick-up tubes (dating from 1940) that was in essence a reverse cathode ray tube - fascinating! The image (photons) were painted onto a charged surface and the electron gun "picked" off the voltage which translated to luminance value that could be transmitted and rendered on a TV screen. These cameras are a living legacy of a bygone era in video technology. They have a special look and feel that can not be reproduced with a ccd and especially Digital. Who knows, in the distant future I'll have the oldest working tube camera. Bonanza PS. I plan on producing more Double Rifle videos that explore shooting and reloading, stay tuned. |
