.577 NE loads

Sir's,

I've done some load development for a .577 2.75" NE I'm building and would like share it. I'm also looking for others loads to compare with what I'm getting on the chrono.

Since this gun is not finished yet, I haven't settle on a final regulation load.

Gun specs: 24" Pac-Nor match grade barrels. Built on a large box lock 10ga action with greener cross bolt. Currently 13lbs.

Some results thus far:

650 Grain Hawk SP: IMR4350, 120 grains, 2030FPS
650 Grain Hawk SP: H4350, 120 grains, 2000FPS
650 WoodleighSP: IMR4831, 116 grains, 1800FPS
Lots of lower powder levels that just go down from here. The above are the only usable loads I think for this gun in a 650 bullet.

750 Woodleigh: IMR4350, 120 grains, 1930~1950FPS This is currently what I believe to be the final load. 6400FPE
750 Woodleigh: H4350, 120 grains, 1900FPS
750 Woodleigh: IMR4831, 126 grains, 1910 FPS Possible load also.

Max load across the chrono: 130 grains IMR4350, at 2180FPS. Head ringing,
shoulder busting, teeth rattling load. More than I want or need in this gun.

I have not tried any faster powders than this, due to case density concerns.

BS
