having just picked up a double rifle in 9,3x74R, I'm thinking to increase the versatility of it, I should match some shooting glass to it for ranges out beyond the iron sights, lets say 200 yards. Just thinking out loud. I have not been to Africa for big game hunting but I am going in May 2011 for plains game in south africa. What are your thoughts on shooting glass, your recommendations, and what type of reticle. I was looking at a schmidt and bender zenith 1.1x4x with a #9 reticle. I have Recknagle tipoff mounts. thought on these?
