In 1988, I guess the house would have still been looking freshly renovated from the film in 1985. I would love to have seen it then.

Better still of course to have seen it in 1915 with the 6000 acre coffee farm intact, Berkeley Cole and Finch Hatton riding up in a period safari car with Rigby 12 bore rifle, etc. and none of today's suffocating restrictions. Must have been quite an enchanting place then!
